SAMSON Expands Production in India
In June 2011, SAMSON India opened its new production facilities in Ranjangaon in the
Maharashtra district. About 3.5 million euro were invested in the 18,000-mē-large
facilities to ensure an optimum supply of the fast-growing Indian market. During
the opening ceremony, Mr. Hans-Erich Grimm, head of the sales division at
SAMSON AG, pointed out that six chemical and petrochemical sites will be
established in India thanks to the support of the Indian Government in the next
few years: "A total of 250,000 million US dollars will be invested in these sites.
We expect a huge demand for our products and services in India."
SAMSON has been active in India for 20 years, employing over 120 members of
staff in production, sales and service. In the new facilities, control valves,
positioners, self-operated regulators for pressure, differential pressure and
temperature as well as differential pressure meters for industrial processes are
manufactured. Our customers in India from the chemical, petrochemical, food,
beverage, energy and solar energy industries include BASF, Evonik, GEA, INOX,
Linde, Lurgi, Uhde, IOCL, Tetra Pak, BHEL, PRAJ and Thermax.
